Friday Check-In

Photograph of a mural that says "LOVE" in large block letters, painted using each cinder block of the wall as a "pixel." There is a young person standing in the corner of the photograph in winter coat and hat. Snow is on the ground.

Hey beautiful people,

Something I heard a long time ago:

"The dreams in which you appear are not always your own."

I think about this on bad days, and I think about it on good days. I think about it all the time.

We don't exist in isolation. We are in community. We matter to other people. What we say and do matters to other people.

I think about this when I write this newsletter. This platform isn't an ego trip. One one hand it's a place for me to write in the morning and share my experiences. On the other hand I know it touches you in a meaningful way, and I thank you for letting me know that when you reply to my emails.

You're in my loving-kindness meditation. I'm grateful for you, and my heart explodes with joy when good things happen in your life.

You appear in my dreams.

I love you.
