Mid-Week Music: Nonexistent - Nonexistent

I’m going out on a limb this week and featuring an album I just learned about last night. I have two friends I trust unconditionally about music, and one of them sent this to me. We had a long text chat about old acquaintances, death, grief, therapy, our tendencies to be guided by others (to please others?), and then 10 hours later he dropped this in the chat.

Listening to music is as much about what you bring to it as the music itself. Unlike many other forms of music, drone can guide the brain to a more meditative state. It can be like closing your eyes and seeing what’s there behind the eyelids.

I am a musician myself, and one of my favorite things to do in my little studio is to just create drones for myself and sit inside them. It’s an immersive experience that makes me happy.

Anyway, this is a short one this week - just wanted to share this while it’s fresh in my mind!

I love you,

David
