Mid-Week Music: Sault - "Let Me Go"

I talked about Cleo Sol in my first “Mid-Week Music” edition, and here she is again belting out a song she co-wrote for Sault, from their 2019 album 5 (written as hashes in matchsticks).

It’s a fuckin’ jam.

While it’s obviously about a lover taken for granted, there’s a little nugget that tickles my unified theory of sobriety:

I'm sitting here, I won't break down, no no no no tears
It's time to say goodbye, to all those years
Can't live a lie, all through the night, I pray, I pray
And in the morning, I'll still feel the same

Anyway, just check it out and then listen to and buy everything Sault have put out. They are a gift. I’m 100% sure I’ll be writing about them more in these posts.

Love,

David
